"On behalf of all members, CCAV wishes GOOD LUCK to the Green Gully Soccer Club as it takes on Richmond in the Grand Final of the Victorian Premier League at AAMI Park (the rectangular stadium) on Saturday 11 September at 7:00pm.

Green Gully Soccer Club's finals berth is a great success story of persistence. Early in the season, the club looked to be headed for at best a mid-table position. Under Coach Paul Harris and Technical Director Ian Dobson, they swept all before them in the second half of season.

All over, people are going green - the Federal seat of Melbourne, for instance, and it's almost impossible to get a plastic bag at the supermarket checkout. Well, CCAV is no exception, we're nailing our new colour of green not for the environment, but for the Green Gully Cavaliers."
