Extra Ordinary Meeting

Mr. Bill Frantzeskos Treasurer & Mr. David Calleja Board Member

The Green Gully Soccer Club held an Extra Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday the 30th of March 2011 for the election of a Board Member and Treasurer. The meeting was held at Green Gully reserve function room where 67 club members attended. The president introduced the nominees to the members and also took the opportunity to update the members of the resurfaced training ground. Mr Farrugia said “it is a difficult time for all the junior teams of the club not being able to train at the reserve. The club in conjunction with Brimbank Council is working very hard to find other venues to train. The training ground has been reseeded and council has informed us that limited use will be allowed from May onwards so we look forward to that”

Mr. David Calleja an architect and structural Civil Engineer in Kealba said “It is a privilege to nominate and once again being on the board, position of board member at Green Gully Soccer Club, I have been a member of this club for a very long time and look forward to working with the current Board members for the best interest of the club and it members.

Mr. Bill Frantzeskos has been a member of the Green Gully Soccer Club for 7 years, Bill’s involvement with the club was through the juniors where his children has played at the club over the years. He has previously also taken the role as junior coach and manager. Frantzeskos said in his new role as treasurer “I will be able to bring some experience to my new position as I have been the treasurer and secretary for the German shepherd dogs club of Victoria and Australia. I will be able to contribute to the junior side and also have some ideas and input into the direction of the senior team”.
